AcceptDANCE is constantly creating new programs and partnerships locally and internationally.
AcceptDANCE creates Identidad Project
The Identidad Dance Project, a program by AcceptDANCE Inc., recently brought vibrant, interactive dance performances to Barnum School, Waltersville School, and Park City Magnet School in Bridgeport, CT. Led by Sindy Folgar, Founder and Executive Director, and featuring six talented Latinx dancers, the project celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with styles like ballet, contemporary, hip hop, cumbia, and salsa. Reaching over 300 students from grades 3 to 8, the performances showcased the power of dance to inspire community, identity, and cultural pride.
AcceptDANCE at Norwalk Community College.
AcceptDANCE collaborated with Horizons at Norwalk Community College in July 2021 and offered a socially conscious summer program called Movement that Matters Curriculum to 3rd - 5th grades.
AcceptDANCE at Barnum/Waltersville School
AcceptDANCE's Artistic director was awarded the FY22 Artist Respond Grant. She lead a socially conscious dance summer program in 2022 in collaboration with Lighthouse Program and Barnum/Waltersville School reaching 45 students.
AcceptDANCE at Guatemala City.
The AcceptDANCE curriculum has been adopted and implemented in Escuela Municipal de Danza in Guatemala City since 2019 reaching more than 500 young dancers every year.
